Salvatore Ferragamo Museum Pt. 2

Tuesday, February 28, 2017

Here are some additional pictures from my fashion field trip yesterday to the Ferragamo Museum. Ferragamo grew up in Naples but moved to Florence to work. He was a fashion innovator, creating custom-made shoes for celebrities in Hollywood. He died at the young age of 61, but the Ferragamo Family continues to produce shoes, clothes, accessories, and beyond. The museum is in the basement of a very old building on one of the most historic streets in Florence! The Ferragamo store/museum is surrounded by other elite brand stores like Prada, Tiffany & Co., Gucci, Tommy Hilfiger, Giorgio Armani, etc… Our English speaking tour guide showed us the current exhibition that is changed every few months. It was pretty neat! Our class has another field trip to the Gucci Museum in several weeks! xo ~ e.
